Last minute list of cheap Spring Break Activities for the busy mom in all of us!

Forgot to set your clock back this morning? Probably not since everything is digital, but you may have forgotten to plan for Spring Break. No fear! Urban Kid to the rescue! Check out this list of ideas organized by days of the week to help you put together a last minute list of things you can do to keep your kids of all ages busy this week!






Monday
Take a snack or two and find a splash pad or park for your kids to indulge in. If you have older kids, create a scavenger hunt or list of items that they need to take selfies with and use a family hashtag to find them all later!
Spring Break at Bayou Bend  from 10 am – 5pm
This beautiful garden is offering free admission for all kids during Spring Break! This wonderful section of the Museum of Fine Arts offers a wide range of child-friendly activities in the gardens, the mansions and the visitor center.

Tuesday
Take your kids to go see a play at Main Street Theater. This Tuesday they are showing the live action remake of Junie B. Jones for ½ off—that’s $10 per ticket!

Memorial City Mall is hosting a Mad Science show for all of you STEM lovers!! It starts at 10:30 am and it’s free so get there early for good seats!
Don’t want to struggle through the 610 traffic to get to the Rodeo, well stick around at Memorial City Mall and participate in their free Rodeo Music Fest at 6pm!



Wednesday
This is by far the BEST time to visit the Children’s Museum! They are hosting a week long Xtreme Spring Break Fest all week long. On Wednesday,  the Fort Bend Children’s Museum will be giving a way free prizes to the first 100 Visitors!

Levy Park is going all out for Spring Break—and when I say all out I mean they are bring food trucks J
There will also be a story time at 10 am, a virtual visit to Ancient Egypt at 11 and public piano play at 4pm!

Sky Zone! Urban Air! Trampoline Parks are a great way for you to wear your kids out so they don’t
wear you out. Find the one nearest you and thank me later!
Thursday

Houston Center for Contemporary Craft has a week long free ‘camp’ for students. Drop in after 11 o’clock am create a craft that your kids can actually take home!
Museum Free Day in the Museum District! Check out one of the following museums with your family for free.
The Museum of Fine Arts
Children’s Museum of Houston is free from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
The Health Museum is free from 2pm – 7pm
Houston Museum of Natural Science is free from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Houston Public Library Pajama Story Time
 Bring your kids to your local library for a read aloud in their PJs, check out the library listings for one of their many other events.

Friday
The Astros World Series Trophy will be at the Houston Museum of Natural Science from 9 am – 10:00 am. Viewing the trophy is free with general admission.

Girls Start will be hosting lots of free events at Levy Park including make your own snow and Kite! There will also be a foam slide for your kids to roll around and get wet in, so bring a towel and some extra clothes.

Love Painting with a Twist? This Friendswood area company does the same thing for kids! Sign up for a Friday, paint session—or pick one earlier in the week. This makes for a great Spring Break memento or a way for your kids to build their confidence and post their art work in their room!

Home Depot is obviously the best place ever—but your kids might not understand why yet. So help them out by checking out this website for lots of DIY crafts that teach Science, Hands on Learning, and are just plain ol’ fun
